The closest stop sign is over a mile away and the first traffic light is 5+ miles down the road. A visit to the grocery store is almost 30 miles round trip. new outdoor cam

My husband received an outdoor camera for Christmas
that takes a picture when it detects movement.
He mounted it on one of our trees and within 5 minutes we had our first wildlife picture.

another victim

My dog won't tolerate any vermin in the yard, including squirrels.
This one was killed and left for me to clean up later.  Thanks Toby.

Red winged blackbird

I've spotted lots of these birds recently.  Many of them roost together near marshes and grassy areas.

I snapped a picture of this perfect little beauty just a foot off the side of the drive-way.
